Job Description
Assistant in Nursing (AIN) – Home Care
HIS Healthcare Improvement and Services is inviting applications for an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to provide in-home care for an elderly client. The successful applicant will work under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver safe and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with daily care and support for an elderly client in a home setting.
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by the supervising Registered Nurse.
• Maintain professionalism, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
• Deliver compassionate and respectful care while promoting the client's wellbeing.
Requirements
• Good communication skills in English; French language skills are an advantage.
• Genuine interest in supporting older adults.
• Honest, dependable, and respectful.
• Willingness to learn and meet high standards of healthcare practice.
• Ability to work independently while following professional guidance.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Selection Criteria
Essential
• Strong spoken and written English skills.
• Caring, patient, and respectful attitude towards elderly clients.
• Reliable, honest, and punctual.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to work under Registered Nurse supervision.
• Physically capable of assisting with mobility and personal care tasks.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Comfortable working independently in a home-care environment.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for completing care documentation.
Desirable
• Previous experience caring for elderly individuals, family members, or people with disabilities.
• First Aid or healthcare-related training is beneficial but not required.
• Valid driver's licence is an advantage.
• Currently living in Port Vila.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and competency assessments.

Salary
45,000 Vatu per month.
