Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Head Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team, reporting to the Rooms & Grounds Manager.
The successful candidate will assist in managing the daily housekeeping and laundry operations, maintain high standards of cleanliness, support the Front Office Manager, and lead staff training, inspections, and quality control initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Oversee day-to-day housekeeping and laundry activities.
Supervise and schedule staff, manage assignments, and enforce standards.
Maintain public areas and guest rooms to top-level standards.
Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with Resort policies.
Manage linen inventory and cost-control efforts.
Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance teams.
Train, evaluate, and support team members.
Lead monthly meetings and respond to guest concerns professionally.
Handle emergency situations and ensure team preparedness.
Work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
Selection Criteria:
We are looking for candidates with:
Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
Strong operational and technical housekeeping knowledge.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in hotel software and general computer use.
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to drive change and improve efficiency.
A passion for hospitality excellence.
