Job Description:

We are looking for a plumber and carpenter to join our Maintenance team.

Day-to-day work, plus weekends and public holidays, will be required to work.

Punctual and teamwork.

Ready to take up any responsibilities given out and follow instructions.

Selection Criteria:

Plumber Job Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial and residential structures.

Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction.

Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques.

Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations.

Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices.

Carpenter duties and responsibilities:

Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work

Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation

Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures.

An associate degree or an apprenticeship in carpentry

Creativity and design skills

Experience of using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws and nail guns

Joinery or cabinet-making skills

Knowledge of building regulations

Both criteria if more than 3 years experience and able to communicate in English in writing also.
