Noa Noa Limited is a well-established company in Vanuatu operating within the beauty, cosmetics, and fragrance industry. The company is seeking a dedicated Chemist & Production Manager to join its team on a full-time basis.
Role Summary
The Chemist & Production Manager will be responsible for leading product formulation and overseeing production activities. This role combines technical chemistry expertise with people and process management. The successful candidate will contribute to the creation of new product lines while ensuring smooth and efficient production operations.
The position involves supervising a small production team, improving manufacturing workflows, and maintaining high product quality standards. A strong interest in natural and locally inspired products, particularly from the Pacific region, is essential. The role also requires creativity, analytical thinking, and the ability to adapt to market developments.
Effective leadership, strong organizational skills, and cultural awareness within the Vanuatu working environment are critical for success in this position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
•Create, formulate, and refine cosmetic and fragrance products
•Develop and optimize production methods and procedures
•Conduct laboratory and production testing to ensure performance and quality
•Oversee equipment maintenance and recommend new machinery when required
•Train, guide, and manage production staff
•Coordinate production schedules and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Candidate Requirements
•At least two (2) years of hands-on experience in a chemistry-related role
•Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline
•Strong command of the English language; French language skills are an advantage
•Proficient in standard computer applications
•Innovative, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset
•Comfortable working in a multicultural and island-based environment
