Job Description
Qualified and experienced individuals are invited to apply for the role of Chief Executive Officer at the Vanuatu Maritime College, located in Luganville, Santo, Vanuatu.
The Role
The CEO will lead the institution's day-to-day operations and guide its long-term strategic growth, ensuring the effective management and continued development of the College.
Essential Selection Criteria
•Possession of a Foreign Going Certificate of Competency (Unlimited)
•At least 10 years of relevant industry experience
•Demonstrated background in maritime training and education aligned with the STCW Convention
•Proven track record in planning, developing, and managing a major maritime training institution within financial constraints
•Ability to ensure the delivery of high-quality training and assessment programs that meet internationally recognized standards for seafarers and fishers in both domestic and international operations
•Strong capability in designing, delivering, evaluating, and improving competency-based training programs across a broad range of maritime subjects
•Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including solid knowledge of corporate governance principles and best-practice organizational management
