Organisation Description:
The Vanuatu Qualifications Authority (VQA) is the national regulator of the post-school education and training (PSET) sector. We ensure PSET courses and providers meet nationally approved quality standards.
As a key agent in implementing the national PSET Policy 2016–2020, VQA works with the Ministry of Education and Training’s Tertiary Education Directorate and PSET providers to create a sustainable, inclusive system that offers quality qualifications, improving economic, social, and cultural opportunities for all.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Communications and Marketing Officer to manage and develop the procurement, supply, and distribution of information for the Authority. The role involves working with electronic information systems, content management platforms, online databases, and traditional materials. You will also create advocacy and marketing materials to promote VQA roles, accredited courses, registered training providers, and the PSET system in general.
Selection Criteria:
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Information Systems.
Experience in marketing and public relations.
Skilled in marketing strategies and advertising techniques.
Proficient in developing advertising materials using tools such as Photoshop, Adobe applications, leaflets, and pamphlets.
Excellent computer skills.
Strong negotiation and public relations skills.
Creative, practical thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Team player who can work independently and under pressure.
Willing to share innovative ideas and collaborate effectively.
