Job Desctiption:
The crane operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes onboard a barge or on land, to load, unload and move supplies, equipments and materials.
Selection Criteria:
To work as a crane operator on a barge, you need certifications such as NCCCO or equivalent, and STCW safety training (BST, firefighting, first aid, PSSR).Safety training in rigging, slinging, and OHS compliance are also required. Key skills include operating various marine cranes, understanding load charts and rigging, clear communication with the crew, and troubleshooting mechanical issues under pressure. Experience in offshore lifting operations, marine safety regulations, and working in dynamic environments is essential, with compliance to local maritime regulations.
