Job Description
Melanesian Hotel is seeking a skilled Technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems and technical equipment operate efficiently and safely throughout the property.
Key responsibilities included
•Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment
•Diagnosing faults and performing repairs on electrical and mechanical systems
•Testing, maintaining, and servicing existing equipment and complex control systems
•Assisting with the optimization of control systems, including both feedback and open-loop control processes
Selection Criteria
•Completion of a 3–5 year apprenticeship with practical on-the-job experience
•Experience in industrial maintenance and high-voltage electrical systems
•Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming
•Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate leadership when required
•Strong written and spoken English communication skills
