Position Overview
Six in One Trading is looking for a skilled Marine Engineer Class 5 to support the safe and efficient operation of its vessels. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance, performance, and reliability of onboard engineering systems while ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company safety procedures.

Key Duties
•Operate, monitor, and maintain main engines, generators, and other onboard mechanical equipment.
•Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
•Monitor machinery performance, fuel usage, and engineering systems to ensure optimal operation.
•Keep accurate maintenance records, engine room logs, and service reports.
•Ensure engineering operations comply with Vanuatu maritime regulations and company policies.
•Manage engineering supplies, including fuel, lubricants, and spare parts.
•Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently during normal operations or emergencies.
•Maintain a clean, organized, and safe engine room environment.
•Work closely with the vessel's Master and crew to support safe and efficient voyages.

Requirements
•Valid Marine Engineer Class 5 Certificate of Competency (CoC) recognized in Vanuatu.
•Current STCW Basic Safety Training certification.
•Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a marine engineer on commercial vessels.
•Strong understanding of marine diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical equipment, and auxiliary machinery.
•Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, public holidays, and inter-island assignments.

Salary
