Kava Bar Attendant / Kava Sales Assistant
Location: Departure Lounge Kava Bar, Airport Area, Port Vila, Efate

About the Business
Departure Lounge Kava Bar is a locally operated establishment dedicated to serving authentic, high-quality Vanuatu kava in a clean, comfortable, and welcoming setting. We proudly serve airport staff, local customers, and travelers.

We are currently looking for a dependable and customer-oriented Kava Bar Attendant to become part of our team.

Main Duties
• Prepare and serve kava to customers for both on-site consumption and takeaway.
• Deliver courteous and professional customer service.
• Process customer payments accurately and maintain proper cash handling.
• Keep the bar and service area clean, tidy, and hygienic.
• Monitor inventory and notify management when stock is running low.
• Assist with daily opening and closing activities.
• Help maintain a safe, pleasant, and welcoming environment.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Owner or Manager when required.

Candidate Requirements
• Minimum completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills.
• Able to communicate in Bislama, English, or French.
• Honest, punctual, dependable, and customer-focused.
• Available to work evenings and Saturdays.
• Previous experience in hospitality, retail, cafés, bars, or nakamals is beneficial but not required.

Working Schedule
Monday to Saturday
4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Additional hours may be required during peak business periods.

Employment Terms
• Hourly wage: 250 VT per hour.
• A formal employment agreement will be provided to the successful candidate.
• A probationary period will apply.
