Position Summary: Finance Operations Officer
The Finance Operations Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities at the campus, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient service delivery in all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
•Handle daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement-to-payment processes, and cash management
•Assist students with financial services such as fee payments, instalment plans, and general payment-related inquiries
•Manage banking activities, perform account reconciliations, and support debt monitoring and recovery processes
•Ensure all financial operations comply with institutional policies and procedures
•Prepare financial statements and reports, and support internal and external audit requirements
•Collaborate with campus finance staff and central finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations and sustainability
•Maintain accurate financial records and support continuous improvement of financial systems and processes
Requirements
•A Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or business administration
OR
•A Diploma with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience in a related field
Prior experience in financial operations, preferably in education, government, or public sector environments
•Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cash handling procedures
•Familiarity with ERP systems and financial management software
•Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
•High level of accuracy and attention to detail
•Strong organizational and time management abilities
•Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to assist both students and staff
•Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, and alignment with organizational values
•Ability to work independently as well as in a diverse, team-based environment

This position is open exclusively to citizens of Vanuatu.
Salary Range
VUV 2,786,119 – 3,187,483 per year
