About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the operations in Vanuatu. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of business growth, operations, and financial performance, with a strong focus on the microfinance and financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership to drive sustainable business growth
Full accountability for operational and financial performance
Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic business plans
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging market trends
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
Identify and pursue new market opportunities
Liaise effectively with all relevant internal and external parties

Selection Criteria:

Minimum 20 years’ experience in an executive management role within financial institutions and the microfinance sector
Proven ability to manage multiple branches and training projects
Strong leadership and human resource management experience
Additional knowledge in other business areas is highly advantageous
Minimum of a Degree in Economics, Finance, or Business
Master’s in Professional Management and certified training in:
- Microfinance
- Financial analysis
- Professional sales in the financial industry
Fluency in spoken and written English, with a solid command of French
