About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the operations in Vanuatu. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of business growth, operations, and financial performance, with a strong focus on the microfinance and financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership to drive sustainable business growth

• Full accountability for operational and financial performance

• Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic business plans

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging market trends

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

• Identify and pursue new market opportunities

• Liaise effectively with all relevant internal and external parties

Selection Criteria:

• Minimum 20 years’ experience in an executive management role within financial institutions and the microfinance sector

• Proven ability to manage multiple branches and training projects

• Strong leadership and human resource management experience

• Additional knowledge in other business areas is highly advantageous

• Minimum of a Degree in Economics, Finance, or Business

• Master’s in Professional Management and certified training in:

  • Microfinance

  • Financial analysis

  • Professional sales in the financial industry

• Fluency in spoken and written English, with a solid command of French
