About Us:
Ifira Ports Development & Services Co. Ltd. operates Lapetasi Container Terminal (LICT) under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the Government of Vanuatu, providing stevedoring, container terminal activities, and transport services on Efate Island.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Heavy Duty Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems, machinery, and equipment at the port.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret drawings and electrical codes to determine layouts for industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Install, examine, replace, and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
• Estimate electrical components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
• Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and devices.

Selection Criteria:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• 5 years' experience as a Heavy Duty Electrician.
• Ability to work odd hours and under pressure, while remaining efficient and trustworthy.
• Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a distinct advantage.
• Valid medical certificate.
• Valid driving license.
• Fluent in Bislama and English; French is an advantage.
