IPDS Limited operates Lapetasi International Container Terminal (LICT) under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the Vanuatu Government. We provide all stevedoring, container terminal activities, and transport services on the island of Efate.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Electrician with more than 10 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy equipment and electrical systems at the terminal.

Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate will have the ability to:
Work flexible/odd hours under pressure with efficiency and reliability.
Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications for industrial installations.
Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, lighting fixtures, and other related electrical equipment.
Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic electrical control systems.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and devices.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep accurate maintenance records.
