A well-established retail company in Vanuatu operating six modern supermarkets, an extensive wholesale business, and four ABM fuel service stations across the country.
Position Summary
The Human Resource Officer will support and manage day-to-day HR operations across the organisation. The role involves coordinating and maintaining HR processes including recruitment, employee onboarding, staff relations, remuneration and benefits administration, performance reviews, staff training, and handling employee concerns. The officer will also assist with general employee services and ensure compliance with local labour regulations.
Qualification in Human Resources or a related field
•Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a human resources role
•Strong understanding of Vanuatu labour legislation
•Experience recruiting expatriate staff will be an advantage
•Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
•Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
•Good time management and organisational capability
•High level of accuracy and attention to detail
•Ability to professionally manage employee complaints and grievances
•Competency in Microsoft Office applications
•Basic knowledge of payroll processes is desirable
