VACANCY NOTICE

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to support the Agricultural Investment for Markets & Nutrition Project. Applications are invited for the position below:

Job Title: Inclusive Partnership Manager

Annual Salary: VT 3.0 – 3.2 million
Location: Port Vila
Contract Duration: 4–5 years

Selection Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Qualifications

A higher degree in agricultural economics, agricultural science, agribusiness, business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline.

Technical Knowledge & Experience

Extensive understanding of current issues in production and value chain systems within the agricultural and food sectors, particularly in developing-country contexts.

At least five years of experience in agribusiness and value chain development, with demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate value chain enhancement programs in the agriculture sector.

Experience in establishing and strengthening Farmers’ Organizations is an added advantage.

Professional Competencies

A creative, energetic, and practical approach to problem solving, with clear insight into the roles of both public and private sectors in rural economic development.

Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in essential applications.

Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

Cross-Cutting Awareness

Strong awareness of key crosscutting issues, including gender, youth, marginalized groups, non-discrimination, and poverty targeting, and the ability to apply these perspectives in all aspects of work.
