Role Overview
Sharper Image is seeking an experienced IT & Electronics Operations Manager to oversee and optimise all operational and technical activities within the company’s IT, Electronics, and White Goods division. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this hands-on role requires strong technical expertise, operational management skills, and leadership capabilities to ensure efficient service delivery, high customer satisfaction, and reliable operational performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the IT & Electronics division, including logistics, service desk, repairs, and installations.
Manage inventory, sourcing, and supplier relationships for IT and electronic products.
Supervise, mentor, and support technical teams, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to safety standards.
Develop and maintain strong B2C and B2B customer relationships through proactive account management.
Ensure timely delivery of technical services, product orders, and installations.
Implement operational procedures and leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency and workflow.
Monitor key performance indicators, budgets, and project timelines.
Identify opportunities for new products, services, or process improvements within the IT/electronics market.
Train and support staff on new technologies, systems, and best practices.
Represent Sharper Image professionally, maintaining clear and effective communication with all customers and stakeholders.
Selection Criteria
The ideal candidate will:
Have 5–10 years of experience in IT, electronics, or technical operations management.
Demonstrate proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage technical and operational teams.
Understand both B2B and B2C service environments and manage client relationships effectively.
Possess strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Communicate clearly and professionally in English (knowledge of French is an advantage).
Be proactive, structured, and capable of performing fieldwork when required.
Be flexible and able to work across varying schedules to meet operational needs.
