IT Lab Manager (FULL TIME MANAGER)

Computer World is seeking an experienced IT Lab Manager to join our team. As an IT Lab Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our IT lab, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring the smooth delivery of IT services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise a team of IT technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity

• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of IT equipment, including computers, servers, and networking devices

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the IT lab

• Coordinate with clients to understand their IT requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs

• Manage project timelines and ensure that tasks are completed within the specified timeframe

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to clients as needed

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to IT projects and client interactions

Selection Criteria:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT management role, preferably in an IT lab or service desk environment

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred

• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with IT hardware, software, and networking technologies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions

• Proficient in project management and time management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• Experience in coaching and mentoring team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
