Job Description
Design Impax is seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Technician and Print Production Systems Supervisor to oversee equipment maintenance and support efficient production operations.

Key responsibilities include:
• Inspecting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining company equipment, including large-format printers, laser engraving machines, plotters, sublimation systems, DTG printers, heat presses, and finishing machinery.
• Identifying equipment faults and carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance to reduce interruptions to production.
• Organising and implementing routine maintenance schedules.
• Recommending and sourcing replacement parts, consumables, technical upgrades, and equipment improvements.
• Assisting with equipment installation, configuration, calibration, testing, and operational support.
• Coordinating production workflows to maximise machine performance and productivity.
• Maintaining accurate service records and preparing technical reports and recommendations for management.
• Promoting safe equipment operation and ensuring compliance with company safety standards and procedures.
• Undertaking additional duties related to the position as required by the business.

Selection Criteria
• Demonstrated experience working with print-production and finishing equipment.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and perform equipment servicing and repairs.
• Practical knowledge of printers, cutters, laminators, plotters, RIP software, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Previous experience supervising production processes and team operations.
• Strong attention to quality standards and effective time-management abilities.
• Ability to interpret job specifications and complete work accurately.
• Excellent communication skills, leadership capability, and commitment to workplace safety.

Salary
