Au Bon Marché is a major retail group in Vanuatu, operating multiple supermarkets, a wholesale operation, and several fuel service stations across the country.

Position Summary
We are looking for a Maintenance Worker with practical, hands-on skills across multiple trades to support the upkeep and safety of our commercial and residential facilities. The role involves carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep to ensure all properties remain safe, functional, and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform general maintenance and repair work across buildings and facilities
•Carry out basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and landscaping tasks
•Assist with minor electrical and mechanical repair work where required
•Identify maintenance issues and take corrective action in a timely manner
•Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are used and maintained safely

Candidate Requirements

•Applicants should demonstrate the following:
•Minimum of two years’ experience in a maintenance or handyman role
•Practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or related trades
•Ability to safely operate standard hand tools and power tools
•Physically capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, kneeling, and prolonged standing
•Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
•Good problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to work
•Experience with HVAC systems will be considered an advantage

Remuneration
Compensation will be based on experience, skills, and suitability for the role and will be discussed during the selection process.
