Maintenance Technician – Air-Conditioning & General Maintenance (Maintenance Officer)

Description

Seaside Hotel Management (SHM) is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician with a background in air-conditioning to join our team in Port Vila.

Key Responsibilities:

Service, maintain, and repair air-conditioning systems across SHM-managed properties

Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs for general property issues (electrical, plumbing, pools, gardens, painting, minor renovations)

Maintain accurate service records and coordinate with property managers

Respond to urgent maintenance requests and assist with compliance-related tasks

Support the team with ad hoc maintenance and property upkeep

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as an air-conditioning technician or maintenance technician

Trade certificate or equivalent preferred

Experience in general property maintenance (electrical, plumbing, handyman skills)

Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently

Good communication and organizational skills

Based in or willing to relocate to Port Vila

Desirable:

Experience in hospitality or property management

Familiarity with Vanuatu’s climate and suppliers

Valid driver’s license
