Job Description:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
Operate and maintain welding equipment and safety gear.
Weld components using appropriate techniques and materials.
Inspect completed welds for strength, precision, and compliance with safety standards.
Perform quality checks using visual and mechanical inspection tools.
Ensure all welding work follows company safety and quality protocols.
Collaborate with ship engineers and supervise marine welding projects.
Cut, bend, and prepare metal parts using power tools or flame cutters.
Maintain clean work areas and follow equipment maintenance schedules.
Supervise and manage all staff in the marine welding department.
Selection Criteria:
Proficiency in various welding methods and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
Skilled in metal fabrication and power tool operation.
Knowledge of metallurgy and material tolerances.
Strong understanding of welding safety protocols.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Problem-solving ability under time constraints.
Commitment to safety and quality assurance.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience and an international welding certificate.
