Position Available: National Coordinator

Location: Port Vila, Vanuatu
Salary: VT 5,400,000 per year

Vanuatu Business Resilience Council (VBRC), the designated private sector body supporting climate action and disaster response coordination in Vanuatu, is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to take on the role of National Coordinator.

This leadership position plays a key role in strengthening private sector engagement in humanitarian response efforts and climate-related initiatives at both national and international levels.

Key Responsibilities
•Lead coordination efforts between the private sector and stakeholders during emergencies and disaster events
•Represent the organisation in national forums related to climate action and disaster governance
•Coordinate activities linked to climate finance and humanitarian response programmes
•Develop and maintain partnerships with government agencies, donors, and international organisations
•Oversee training programmes and capacity-building initiatives for businesses

Candidate Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
•At least 5 years of experience in climate-related projects or project management
•Strong background in stakeholder coordination and engagement
•Experience working with the private sector or in humanitarian response activities
•Fluency in English and Bislama
•Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
