Formerly operating as Alubat Ltd, CGA has established itself as the country’s premier “building envelope” expert, combining high-performance aluminium extrusions from Alspec Australia with globally sourced glass to deliver projects that meet the highest structural, safety, and design standards.
Role Overview
CGA is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our glazing and installation business. This role focuses on both on-site and off-site operations, with responsibility for project delivery, team management, and process improvement. The Operations Manager will drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with specifications, and contribute to the strategic growth and efficiency of the business.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead and manage a team of operational staff, glaziers, and fitters, ensuring resources are allocated effectively for all projects.
•Supervise all CGA projects from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
•Develop and implement organizational processes to enhance efficiency, technology use, and team performance.
•Prepare weekly project reports, monthly management reports, and annual departmental budgets to monitor financial performance and profitability.
•Oversee risk management activities, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
•Provide leadership, guidance, and training to all staff, fostering a high-performing and safety-conscious team.
•Manage labor allocation, material availability, and project logistics to ensure smooth operations.
•Support business development, including managing projects from quotation to completion, attending site meetings, and resolving customer enquiries or disputes.
•Continuously review operational practices and recommend improvements to processes, technology, and team efficiency.

Experience & Qualifications:
•Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related field.
•In-depth knowledge of safety standards, industrial regulations, and Australian glass installation standards.
•Excellent attention to detail and understanding of contractual and legal requirements.
•Minimum 10 years’ experience in the construction or glazing industry, including direct interaction with contractors and builders.
•At least 5 years’ supervisory experience in construction or glazing projects.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
