We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our slipway management and engineering services. The role involves overseeing daily operations, optimizing resources, and driving performance to meet strict deadlines. This is a hands-on position that requires technical expertise and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage daily slipway and engineering operations.
Ensure smooth workflows and efficient resource allocation.
Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to improve performance.
Lead, mentor, and motivate teams to achieve operational goals.
Manage installation and construction of heavy and light steel structures, including layout, cutting, fit-up, and fabrication.
Supervise manufacturing of engineering products such as gates, trailers, and agricultural equipment.
Operate lathes and milling machines as needed.
Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Be available for after-hours and weekend work (Saturdays and Sundays).
Selection Criteria:
Minimum 5 years of management experience in a similar role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Hands-on knowledge of fabrication and construction processes.
Current welding certification.
Strong technical knowledge of lathes, milling machines, and engineering operations.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
