Position Summary
We are seeking a Payroll Officer to manage and maintain accurate payroll records for the company. The role is responsible for processing employee wages, monitoring work hours, addressing payroll-related queries, and ensuring payroll data is accurate, confidential, and compliant with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
•Collect, verify, and manage employee time and attendance data
•Process monthly payroll using approved payroll systems
•Respond to staff enquiries related to salaries, deductions, and benefits
•Maintain up-to-date and accurate payroll records and databases
•Prepare payroll reconciliations and related reports
•Ensure compliance with Vanuatu labour laws and statutory benefits
Candidate Requirements
•Applicants should meet the following criteria:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
•Minimum of two years’ experience in a payroll-related role
•Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and processes
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
•Understanding of Vanuatu statutory payroll and employee benefit requirements
•High level of integrity with the ability to manage confidential information
•Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills
•Well-organized, detail-focused, and task-driven
Remuneration
Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role and will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
