Description:
The United States Peace Corps seeks a licensed Medical Doctor or Nurse Practitioner to serve as a Peace Corps Medical Officer in Vanuatu. The PCMO will provide healthcare, counseling, and emergency response for U.S. Peace Corps Volunteers. Responsibilities include primary care, training, site visits, medical administration, and 24-hour on-call duties.
Requirements:
Accredited MD or Nurse Practitioner degree
Valid license in Vanuatu, the U.S., or country of training
Minimum 2 years of primary care experience
Health education and counseling experience
Fluent in English
Eligible to work in Vanuatu
Preferred:
Gynecological care experience
Health unit management experience
Background in international organizations
