DATO Enterprise is seeking a skilled and experienced joiner to join their workshop team in Luganville.
Role Summary
This role requires a high level of craftsmanship in joinery along with strong technical and workshop management abilities. The ideal candidate should be capable of working with precision, interpreting technical drawings, and handling advanced woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities & Skills Required:
•Strong mathematical ability for accurate measurements, angles, and understanding wood movement behavior
•Expertise in operating and maintaining woodworking machinery such as:
Table saw
Thickness planer
Router
Mortiser
Miter saw
elt sander
•Ability to produce precise joints including mortise & tenon, dovetail, and other high-accuracy fittings
•Capability to read and understand detailed technical and construction drawings
•Strong knowledge of timber properties including grain direction, moisture content, and species behavior
•Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and workshop discipline
Applicants must demonstrate
•Relevant technical training or certification from a recognized institution
•Minimum two professional references from clients or employers, highlighting past project quality and performance
•Strong hands-on experience in timber technology and joinery practices
•Proven competency in operating heavy-duty woodworking machinery safely
•Good organization skills, ability to multitask, and prioritize work effectively
•High level of responsibility, punctuality, and professional presentation
Salary:
Compensation will be determined based on the applicant’s experience and technical expertise.
