JOB DESCRIPTION
Field Ready is seeking a Program Coordinator to join its team in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
The role will support the expansion of programs in Vanuatu and across the wider Pacific region.
The successful candidate will work closely with disaster preparedness and response agencies, including government bodies, NGOs, and local businesses.
A major responsibility of the role is encouraging the use of local suppliers, skills, and services in disaster response, climate adaptation, and development activities.
The position involves supporting innovation and strengthening local partnerships to improve aid delivery and localization efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate project activities in Vanuatu together with regional teams and partner organizations
Build partnerships between local businesses, government agencies, and aid organizations to encourage local sourcing of supplies and services
Organize training sessions, workshops, and events including venue setup, travel arrangements, accommodation, and materials preparation
Prepare workshop summaries, monitoring reports, and project updates
Contribute information for annual program and financial reports in collaboration with regional staff
Maintain communication and collaboration with Program Coordinators across Fiji, Solomon Islands, and Samoa
Promote awareness of WASH products, Mobile Makerspace activities, and monitoring programs through communication campaigns, blog writing, social media, and public engagement
Attend WASH Cluster meetings and other coordination meetings while providing project updates when required
Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director or designated supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Experience managing projects and supporting activities throughout the project lifecycle
Experience in project administration including report writing and financial documentation
Experience planning and organizing events, training sessions, and workshops
Ability to contribute to communication materials such as newsletters, reports, websites, and awareness campaigns
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Experience or understanding of disaster response, WASH, food security, gender equality, and inclusion programs
Experience working with different stakeholders including private businesses, government agencies, and NGOs
Willingness to travel within the Pacific region
Basic technical understanding of maintaining tools and equipment inventories
Willingness to work in field operations during disaster response or Mobile Makerspace activities
Must be a citizen or resident of Vanuatu
PREFERRED
University degree in Management, Development, Finance, Administration, Technical Communication, Disaster Response, or related fields
Experience using IT software, research tools, and related systems
Additional language skills, especially French, are considered an advantage
Background in both project management and technical or vocational work is preferred
SALARY
Salary range: 2.4 to 2.8 million Vatu per year depending on skills and experience
