JOB TITLE: Project & Research Officer
Location: Shefa Provincial Government Headquarters, Port Vila
Salary: 1,400,000 VT
Employment Type: Temporary – 6 Months
The Shefa Provincial Government Council is inviting qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Project & Research Officer.
The successful candidate will support the development and design of council-led projects that contribute to community development and improve service delivery across Shefa Province.
Key Responsibilitie
•Prepare project proposals and project profiles
•Develop project plans and implementation strategies
•Manage project administration and coordination
•Ensure project activities are completed within set deadlines
•Support project-related tasks as required
•Perform any other duties assigned by the Secretary General
Requirement
•Diploma in Administration, Project Management, or a related field
•3–5 years of relevant work experience
•Strong leadership and negotiation skills
•Good knowledge of project management principles
•Strong decision-making and business management skills
•Ability to interpret and apply regulations and procedures appropriately
•Capability to review documents for accuracy, compliance, and completeness
•Ability to analyse information, assess alternatives, and draw sound conclusions
•Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and MS Outlook
•Ability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure
