Job Desctiption:
Key Responsibilities:
Picking up staff, clients and driving them to the desired destination.
Mapping out driving routes to ensure a timely arrival.
Performing inspections of vehicles and equipment.
Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and customer service.
Assisting with loading and unloading Goods and equipment's.
Keeping track of road conditions.
Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance.
Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle's coming and goings.
Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
Perform regular safety checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition before and after each trip.
Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations to avoid accidents or incidents.
Driving duties may at times involve long hours of work, be available to work after hours, weekends including public holidays
Assist the Purchasing Officer and storeman in day-to-day tasks.
Assist Department in stocktakes
Assist in additional task and other Purchasing department projects and support other functions as needed.
Follow directions of the department supervisor and managers
Selection Criteria:
Our ideal candidate:
Good driving skills and must drive Manual Vehicle
Relevant driving experience (1 year plus)
Clean driving record
Good knowledge and understanding of road codes and rules
Basic knowledge of OHS Acts and vehicle maintenance and servicing
Ability to drive safely and effectively;
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively;
Ability to manage time effectively and to work extra hours if required;
Demonstrated ability to work as a team.
