Job Description
Iririki Island Resort & Spa is currently seeking a motivated and professional individual to join our team as a Receptionist / Night Auditor.
Key Responsibilities
Night Audit Duties
• Review, reconcile, and balance daily financial transactions from all hotel departments, including accommodation and food and beverage operations.
• Verify credit card transactions and ensure they match daily settlement records.
• Examine daily revenue reports and compare them against recorded cash receipts.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies, errors, or unusual transactions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports as required.
• Support the maintenance of high financial control standards throughout the resort.
• Assist with staff coordination, task allocation, and on-the-job guidance when necessary.
Reception Duties
• Deliver a professional, friendly, and welcoming experience to all guests.
• Manage front desk operations, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and general enquiries.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and service needs.
• Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally while seeking effective solutions.
• Process guest accounts and billing transactions accurately.
• Manage and reconcile the reception cash float at the end of each shift.
• Perform administrative duties such as email correspondence, filing, record keeping, and telephone operations.
• Provide guests with accurate information regarding room rates, promotions, and resort services.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or housekeeping concerns to the relevant departments.
• Ensure clear communication and a smooth handover between shifts.
• Assist with late-night arrivals and other front-office requirements.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by management.
Selection Criteria
• Previous experience in a front office, reception, or night audit position within the hospitality industry.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.
• Experience using Room Master or similar hotel property management software will be an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Dependability and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including confident telephone communication.
• Good organisational and administrative abilities.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team.
