Job Description
Orig's Auto Panel Shop is seeking a skilled Senior Automotive Painter to join its team. This role is responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces, performing colour matching, and applying high-quality paint finishes that meet industry and company standards. The successful candidate will also assist in maintaining a safe and efficient workshop while providing guidance and support to less experienced painters.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
Mix and match paint colours to achieve accurate factory-quality finishes.
Apply paint and protective coatings using professional spray-painting equipment.
Inspect completed work to ensure high standards of quality and appearance.
Maintain painting equipment and ensure the work area is clean and organised.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Mentor and support junior team members where required.
Work collaboratively with the repair team to ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
Selection Criteria

Applicants should have:
Proven experience working as an Automotive Painter.
Strong knowledge of vehicle preparation, paint application, colour matching, and refinishing processes.
Experience operating automotive spray-painting equipment safely and effectively.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.
Good communication, time management, and organisational skills.
Previous experience supervising or coaching junior staff will be an advantage.

Salary
Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
