Job Summary: Senior Sous Chef
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
•Apply a wide variety of cooking methods and culinary styles
•Prepare dishes according to guest requirements in a timely and consistent manner
•Accurately measure ingredients and control food portions
•Ensure kitchen staff follow all standards, procedures, hygiene, and safety regulations
•Maintain a clean, organized, and fully sanitized kitchen and workstation
•Lead, supervise, and motivate kitchen team members
•Prepare staff schedules and manage rostering
•Oversee inventory control and ensure all ingredients are fresh and high quality
•Contribute creative ideas to improve kitchen operations and menu offerings
•Handle multiple tasks efficiently to ensure smooth and timely food service
•Develop and present innovative menu items
•Monitor and manage food costs and kitchen budgets
•Follow strict food safety and handling procedures
•Ensure every dish meets quality and presentation standards
•Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
•Stay composed and productive in a fast-paced environment
•Assist in designing new dishes and presentations
•Manage kitchen opening, closing, and daily operational duties as assigned by the F&B Director
•Supervise overall kitchen operations and staff performance
•Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff development
Selection Requirements:
•At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Sous Chef or similar leadership role in a high-volume restaurant
•Formal culinary education or recognized qualification in Culinary Arts or Hospitality
•Strong understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation standards
•Proven leadership and team management abilities
•Ability to perform under pressure with a positive and professional attitude
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong passion for culinary innovation and creativity
•Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays
•Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and positive approach
