Job Overview
Watersports Port Vila regularly hires for marine-based positions including Trainee Tour Guides, Snorkel Guides, and Boat Skippers. These roles involve working directly with visitors to deliver safe, enjoyable, and educational ocean experiences.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
•Leading and hosting guided tours, including trips on the Reef Explorer semi-submersible.
•Educating guests about local marine life, coral reefs, conservation practices, and Vanuatu’s culture and history.
•Delivering safety briefings and assisting with the upkeep and cleaning of vessels and equipment, including snorkel gear.
Selection Criteria
•English Communication: Strong spoken English and the ability to confidently present information to guests.
•Water Confidence: Excellent swimming skills and comfort in open-water environments.
•Customer Service: A positive, professional attitude and the ability to interact well with people from different
backgrounds.
•Physical Capability: Good fitness levels to support activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, and boat operations.
•Dependability: Strong punctuality and reliability, particularly for cruise ship schedules and weekend work.
•Experience: Background in tourism, boating, or hospitality is an advantage, though full training is provided.
•Certifications: First Aid certification and a Small Boat Operator’s License are highly regarded for some positions.
•Attitude: Enthusiastic, motivated individuals who enjoy outdoor work and team environments are strongly
