Organisation Description:
SeaShaw is a veterinary and conservation business established in 2013 by Dr. Christina Shaw, the principal veterinary surgeon. The business works closely with the non-profit Vanuatu Environmental Science Society to implement wildlife conservation projects and would like to broaden its scope to animal welfare and control projects.
Job Desctiption:
Design and writing of project proposals and implementation of conservation and animal welfare projects and programmes.
Development and implement a training programme for junior staff and volunteers.
Development of protocols and policies.
Selection Criteria:
Must have qualification in Veterinary Nursing equivalent to Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon's (RCVS) level three diploma in veterinary nursing or Australian certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
At least 10 years' experience in clinical veterinary practice
Experience in managing a team of veterinary professionals
Experience in training veterinary nurses
Must have experience in marine conservation projects and animal welfare and /or animal control programmes.
Must have driver's license
Excellent written and spoken English
Experience in marine conservation projects and ability to scuba dive is desirable
Salary:
Commensurate with experience
